Inductotherm removable crucible induction melting furnaces are quick and efficient nonferrous melters. For the greatest flexibility when changing alloys, Inductotherm offers several styles of removable crucible furnaces.

Single, Double & Multiple Push-Out Furnaces:
The Push-Out furnace is about 8% more efficient than the Lift-Swing furnace because it's coils are tapered to the crucible shape for improved energy transfer and more even heating that extends crucible life.

The furnace body is constructed of a single folded heavy gauge aluminium-alloy plate that provides a strong, maintenance free housing for both the cast refractory and heavy duty power coil.

These units are available is many sizes and configurations, double and Multiple coil units from the size of a coffee cup for precious metal melting up to 300 kgs. The crucible is raised by hydraulic ram for removal.

Drop Coil Furnaces:

The Drop Coil furnaces are free standing units that install right on the foundry floor. They are an excellent alternative to the Push-Out furnaces when sub-surface conditions or foundation restrictions make it impractical to provide a pit for the push-out ram.

The furnace body is constructed of a single folded heavy gauge aluminium-alloy plate that provides a compact housing for both the cast refractory and heavy duty tapered power coil.

Drop Coil Operation: When the charge in the crucible has melted, the induction coil is lowered exposing the crucible holding the molten metal (as shown), thereby providing easy access for removal of crucible.

Lift Swing Furnaces:
The Lift-Swing furnaces are also free-standing units that installs right on the factory floor and are an excellent alternative to the Push-Out furnaces when sub-surface conditions or foundation restrictions make it impractical to provide a pit for the Push-Out furnace cylinders.

Lift Swing Operation: As the name implies, the furnace coil lifts and swings over to the second crucible that is pre charged and ready to melt. Change over takes only second, providing high production and high utilisation of the power supply.
