Power Supply For General Purpose Induction Heating
The STATIPOWER® SP12 is designed to match multi-turn coils (400- 2000 V) that are used for hardening, tempering, tube heating, crystal growing, brazing, wire and strip heating and many other induction heating applications. A wide variety of heating coils can be properly matched with built-in load tuning capacitors and multi-tap output isolation transformer.

Unitized Design For Stand-Alone Operation
Just connect three phase 460 V input power, cooling water and heating coil and you're ready to begin heating. The cabinets are designed to accommodate a variety of fixtures, conveyors and part handling machines. Complete stand-alone control and monitoring include: Manual start/stop push buttons, heat level control with 10 turn lockable dial, four meters and annunciator lights to monitor all operating parameters.

Remote Or Computer Controlled Operation
Remote control can be accomplished by connection to the user interface provided. Heat time can be controlled from a foot switch, machine control relay or PLC. Heat level can be controlled by a remote potentiometer, 4-20 mA process control signal or analog 0-10 V signal from a PLC. An optional RS-232/485 interface is available for remote computer monitoring, data logging and control.

General Purpose Induction Heating Power Supply

The STATIPOWER® SP18 water-cooled, solid state power supplies are designed for case hardening, through hardening, annealing, mass heating and many other applications. Power and frequency combinations from 150 to 600 k W/3 to 50 kHz are available in single and dual frequency models.

Transistorized Circuitry For Improved Reliability

All STATIPOWER® SP18 systems incorporate "Try-Again" circuitry to eliminate nuisance shutdowns caused by voltage transients, ground faults and shorted or arcing loads. Because load current is not used for commutation, equipment can be operated with the output shorted for easy trouble shooting. Solid state accuracy assures output power regulation of ±1% with a line variance of up to ±10%. Reliability is further enhanced by placement of 95% of all circuitry on one control board which is accessible without entering the high voltage section of the power supply.

Reliable Design For Safety And Long-Life Performance

STATIPOWER® SP18 units have a DC diode bridge, line choke and capacitor bank to minimize the effects of line noise and harmonic feedback. This also insures a constant input power factor of 0.95 regardless of loading resulting in lower electric demand charges. All power components with DC potential are electrically insulated from the water cooling circuits. This eliminates the possibility of electrolysis. Other system features include an input line disconnect with UVR, output isolation transformer, differential pressure switch and temperature switches on water supply and return manifolds.
